I would like to share with you story of my brand creation. My name is Svіtlana (my short name is Lana, by which most of my colleagues and clients know me). The name of my brand SYVEMA consists of the first letters of the names of all members of my family me, my husband and our four children. I am a mother of three beautiful daughters and a wonderful son. I am Ukrainian by nationality but for many years I have been living in France with my husband and children and running my own sewing business in Paris.
Since childhood, sewing has been my biggest hobby, and as a little girl I spent all my free time behind my mother’s huge sewing machine. At first I sewed for my dolls, then for my little sister and later on, for my three beloved daughters, you can imagine how many dresses I sewed for them. Thanks to this hobby, I gained a lot of experience and understood the finer aspects of creating a model that fits, all of which has helped me create my own business in wich my whole extended family helps and supports me.
The choice of fabrics and lace is my favorite part of the work, and therefore I choose them with great care and this process inspires me to create new models for babys.
Also, I love details! All the bows, flowers, butterflies that I use when sewing my dresses and accessories are designed by me and made by hand.
My experience
For a long time I met clients in my showroom and watched the behavior of children, trying on my clothes for them, I took attention to when they began to show that something was bothering them and took into account the feedback of parents after the holidays. Of course, all my clients are very kind, positive people, and therefore their reviews were just as kind, but sometimes they were small “But” and I now take into account all these “But’ when sewing clothes. Since I am a mother of four children, I also checked many of the nuances from my own experience. Keep in mind that a baby who most often still does not talk, cannot complain where and what interferes with them, but they can be capricious, expressing their displeasure and this can negatively affect your so carefully prepared, delightful holiday.
Therefore, when choosing a dress, try to take this fact into account. When tailoring my clothes, I removed all possible details that may be uncomfortable for the baby. You can’t even imagine how many nuances I have corrected to ensure comfort for your baby.

Being a mother myself, I know how much I want to make a beautiful holiday, but at the same time everything needs to be foreseen. I decided to help you minimize at least the time you spend on choosing outfits. I tried to make it so that you can buy everything at once: I added shoes and a head accessory to the dress. Attention to the environment
Over time, I realized that it is important to create not only beautiful and comfortable clothes, it is also important that the production of these clothes is as environmentally friendly as possible. What I mean by ecological production is production that gives a minimum of waste to the environment. Yes, of course, there are absolutely tiny natural dresses that cannot negatively affect our environment, but how can we, mothers, stop loving beautiful puffy dresses for our little princesses, which have a lot of gathering, folds, ruffles.So I decided to find a solution to this problem. I removed a lot of unnecessary components of the dress from production, and due to the special technology of sewing an airy skirt, I reduced the use of fabric by 7 times. Now the dress looks just as voluminous, lush, but it is several times lighter than a standard dress of the same volume.
You will not believe when you pick up this dress, it is almost weightless and these few grams of fabric, most of which are natural, minimize the risk of bad impact on the environment. Yes, perhaps on the scale of one dress it is imperceptible, but if we multiply the unused 300-500g of fabric for each dress by hundreds and thousands of orders, we can see what a huge amount of waste can be avoided thanks to a new approach to tailoring technologies.
Thanks to a new approach, as a result of my production, I have a very small amount of remaining pieces of fabric, but even from them I sew accessories, bows, butterflies, flowers to decorate my products.
I also took the choice of packaging for my products very seriously. Most packing boxes on the market are hard and heavy. I found a manufacturer who produces thin, but perfectly shaped beautiful boxes.
